Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Paro, transfer to Thimphu
Arrive at Paro International Airport and meet your guide. Drive to Thimphu along the Paro–Thimphu river valley, stopping at Tachog Lhakhang Bridge for photos. Check into your hotel and enjoy an evening market walk to soak in the capital’s atmosphere. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2 – Thimphu Highlights
Visit Memorial Chorten, joining locals in their morning prayers. See the towering Buddha Dordenma for panoramic valley views. Explore the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Institute for Zorig Chusum to learn about Bhutan’s traditional arts. End the day at Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and monastic body. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3 – Dochula Pass to Punakha
Drive to Dochula Pass (3,150 m) and admire the 108 chortens with Himalayan vistas. Continue to Punakha to visit Punakha Dzong, dramatically set at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Walk across the 300 m suspension bridge for sweeping valley views. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 4 – Punakha Valley Exploration
Hike through terraced fields to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a stunning hilltop temple. Visit a local farmhouse for tea and conversation with the family. Stroll through Punakha town in the evening. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5 – Return to Paro
Drive back to Paro, stopping at scenic viewpoints. Visit Rinpung Dzong and Ta Dzong (National Museum) to explore Bhutan’s history and art. Evening free to browse Paro’s handicraft shops. Overnight in Paro.

Day 6 – Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Early morning hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic monastery. Pause at the tea house viewpoint for photos before continuing to the monastery. Descend through pine forests and enjoy a farewell dinner. Overnight in Paro.

Day 7 – Departure
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.

US$ 40 visa fee per person for a single entry.
