Day 1 – Arrival in Paro, transfer to Thimphu
Arrive at Paro International Airport where your guide will greet you with a traditional khadar scarf. Enjoy a scenic 1.5‑hour drive along the Paro–Thimphu river valley, stopping at Tachog Lhakhang Bridge for photos. Check into your hotel in Thimphu, followed by a gentle orientation walk through the city’s main street to acclimatise. Evening welcome circle and mindfulness briefing. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 2 – Thimphu Mindfulness Walks
Begin with a guided meditation at Memorial Chorten, joining locals in their morning circumambulations. Visit Buddha Dordenma for panoramic views and quiet reflection. Explore the Folk Heritage Museum and the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (Arts & Crafts School) to connect with Bhutan’s living traditions. Evening mindfulness walk along Wang Chhu riverside. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 3 – Dochula Pass to Punakha
Drive to Dochula Pass (3,150 m) and spend time among its 108 chortens, with a short guided breathing session overlooking the Himalayas. Continue to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s “Palace of Great Happiness,” set at the confluence of two rivers. Stroll the 300 m suspension bridge before settling into your Punakha hotel. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 4 – Punakha Valley Exploration
Morning hike through terraced fields to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, pausing for mindful observation of the valley below. Visit a local farmhouse for tea and conversation with the family. Afternoon riverside mindfulness session and journaling. Overnight in Punakha.
Day 5 – Return to Paro
Drive back to Paro via scenic mountain roads. Visit Rinpung Dzong and Ta Dzong (National Museum) to explore Bhutan’s history and art. Evening reflection walk through Paro town, with optional hot stone bath. Overnight in Paro.
Day 6 – Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Early start for the hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), with pauses for mindful breathing and photography. Enjoy tea at the halfway viewpoint before continuing to the monastery. Descend through pine forests scented with incense. Farewell dinner in Paro. Overnight in Paro.
Day 7 – Departure
Morning closing circle to reflect on your journey. Transfer to Paro International Airport for departure.
